What about how #Amazon launched it's own truck shipping company and its 20% stake that it purchased in #AtlasAir last month for air deliveries? Seems to me that they are looking to ditch #UPS. I would think that would be a major threat to the company and it's bottom line. $AMZN $AAWW $UPS

Netflix: Valuations, Competition, And Questionable Accounting Point To Potential Crash
Kurt Benson 2/3/2016 12:38:17 AM

Excellent post on $NFLX that gives me much to think about. I agree with much of what you said but I think there are some emotional factors that you left out which should not be negated.

1. I think on average, Netflix customers are fiercely loyal compared to other companies.

2. Netflix has a great product which they keep improving upon. Netflix is actually more reliable than my cable provider.

3. Netflix has the first movers advantage. Even $AMZN hasn't made much of a dent and they are giving away their video on demand service free to their millions of prime customers. I get Amazon instant video free, yet I still prefer Netflix.

Talking Numbers: Amazon

Amazon it all about the long play. If they wanted to focus on profits, they could. But Bezos has a vision and $AMZN will eventually dominate.

I found it mind boggling that $AMZN was getting punished for having it's best quarter in history. But this article shed some light on the issue for me, thanks.

Amazon Continues Its Winning Streak, And Shows No Sign Of Stopping

Nothing will be able to stop Amazon... unless $AMZN shareholders get fed up with it's decision to always sacrifice profits for growth. But I think most understand that Bezos has vision.

Is Amazon The Canary In The Market's Coal Mine?
Frank J. Williams 5/13/2015 7:48:43 PM

Nice article Joseph, with some excellent points. I have always found it ironic that Amazon is such a Wall Street darling when the company has such a difficult time actually being profitable. And yes, the stock price is higher than it should be.

But in general, I've been won over. The more I think about it, Amazon is clearly a long term play and so is the company's strategy. For instance, the way they sell Amazon hardware (Kindle e-readers, tablets, phones, Amazon TV Echo etc) so cheap, some say at a loss is at first hard to fathom. But it further absorbs customers into the Amazon ecosystem. They end up buying more digital and even real products.

For instance the new Amazon Dash is so brilliant, I expect it will dramatically increase sales and revenues and is simply put, a smart, innovative product. Amazon is always thinking 10 steps ahead of other companies and that is why Amazon will end up (and stay up) on top.

Clearly I'm bullish on $AMZN, but after taking all the above into consideration, is the stock really so overpriced?
