Ebay Sues Amazon Claiming Illegal And Unethical Activity
Ayelet Wolf 10/18/2018 5:16:43 PM

Unethical... sure. But illegal? How is it illegal that #Amazon exploited some weaknesses in the #eBay system? Violating a website's terms of use is grounds for being suspended or kicked off that site, but you can't go to jail for it. How can eBay claim this is illegal behavior? $AMZN $EBAY

End Of An Era - Sears Declares Bankruptcy

It's mostly #Amazon. $AMZN is absolutely wiping other companies out.

Wellness Tech: The Evolution Of Apple Health
BreakingBad News 10/7/2018 4:38:31 PM

Yet #Amazon is the one that has made the foray into #pharma. Seems like it might have made more sense for #Apple to do that or for Amazon to have made health more of a central focus of its tech. $AAPL $AMZN

Don’t Buy Walmart
Mike Nolan 8/30/2018 2:20:48 AM

Thank you for this insight into being a seller on Walmart, as this was an area I was not familiar. But I can tell you that as a customer, Walmart is ages behind Amazon and other competitors.

Why can I get an item from Amazon in 1 to days, but on Walmart.com it can take a week or more? Why if I want to do an instore pickup, do they waste time and money to ship the item my local Walmart, when I know for a fact it's in the store already? That makes no sense.

Compare this with BestBuy. I place an order online. Within 30 minutes I'm told I can go pick it up. In under 3 minutes I am in and out of the store. I placed a similar order at Walmart. It took a week to arrive (even though it was also sold in store). Then it took an hour and half to pick it up. Why? There was no one manning the pick up counter. Even after having customer service announce over the PA system for someone multuple times, no one showed up. When someone finally did, the person didn't know how to process it. When someone finally arrived who could, they went to the warehouse for a very very long time. When I asked why, she said they had to manually scan with her eyes for my name on every box till she found it. That there was no rhyme or reason to how it was scanned. When the item was finally handed to me, the box was badly damaged as was the item inside.

This is anything but efficient! Bullish on $AMZN and $BBY, Bearish on $WMT.

The Star-Making Sizzle Of The Economy
Dan Jackson 8/2/2018 2:54:49 PM

Agreed. I'd say the only company that has ouysourced it's customer service abroad, yet still offers excellent customer service is #Amazon. One of the reasons I'm bullish on $AMZN. It shows you CAN have good customer service while still getting the savings from outsourcing.

Google Vs. Amazon: Choose Your Flavor
Carol D. Richards 7/20/2018 2:21:35 PM

Good article. What I find most interesting is how #Amazon and Google evolved from such different companies (Amazon a book seller vs. Google an online search engine) to going head to head in so many diverse categories. $AMZN $GOOGL

Will Small Auto Part Stores Survive Amazon?
Bruce Powers 7/2/2018 1:44:26 PM

With the exception of the cell phone, #Amazon has conquered every industry they've gotten into. I see no reason why it can't do that here as it already has tremendous related expertise and everything in place to outsell the existing leaders. $AAP, $AZO, $ORLY may very well follow in the footsteps of ToysRus. I'm very bullish on $AMZN.

Why Amazon Might Launch Its Own Cryptocurrency

Victoria's Secret Called 'Broken' By Analyst As L Brands Cuts Guidance
Alexa Graham 5/24/2018 4:38:30 PM

I disagree. Yes, #VictoriaSecret ($LB) is facing increased competition from American Eagle Outfitters ($AEO)' Aerie, #Gap's ($GPS) Love brand, and #Amazon's ($AMZN) Arabella brand. But VS's sales performed better in the first quarter of 2018 than in the same period last year. And they've been making a big push to increase it's online sales. And it's starting to work with an increase of 1% so far.
