Deflationary Straw Man
No matter the debates over inflation vs. deflation, increasing employment vs. sound monetary policy or systemic health vs. fragility, the CPI marches onward and upward.
AAII Now Over Bullish
Individual investors are lathered up again and chasing the renewed stock rally, at least on a relative basis to their usual stance
Silver Weekly Chart
Self-explanatory chart of the day; the silver weekly chart…
Intel Still On Target
I sold half of my INTC position so as not to be greedy, but am going to hold the other half for a run at the target.

Cue Jackson Hole Jawbone
Just setting the table for the Jaw Bone of Jackson Hole?
Inflation Stuff
The initial headline was a bit of a shock, as it looked very weak. But as I looked deeper into the numbers, it didn’t seem nearly as weak as I had first thought. To be sure, this is not astrong report, but the seeming weakness came largely from one component.

Dow 17,500
Funny thing about the market; I’ve had this potential 17,500 target on the Dow since early in the year as it formed a bullish Ascending Triangle on this weekly chart we review most often in NFTRH.
SPX 60 Min. Status [4]
Okay, here’s the last one of these short-term casino patron updates. I’ve got more important things to keep track of like that short against DSLV, which is testing its limits this morning. SPX 60 minute view…
NFTRH 304; Opening Segments Excerpt
Hype everywhere and not a fundamental reason for a stock decline to be found. On Friday I went out for a short while with the market strong and came back to a downward reversal. ‘Hmmm…’ thought I, ‘maybe the 1960 level would act as firm resistance to the S&P 500 after all’.
SPX 60 Min. Status [3]
Guess who’s trying to break the resistance zone, get to the gap and possibly even the pattern measurement?
