US Stock Market; Weekly Charts
With the help of some of NFTRH‘s standard weekly charts, we take a snapshot of the US stock market.
Gold Oil Ratio; At Neckline
The bullish pattern in the gold ETF vs. the crude oil ETF is banging the neckline of a bullish pattern today.
Covered Short Against Bearish Silver ETF DSLV
I could miss the opportunity of a life time but I am not going to take the chance that this is a little bear flag forming on SLV.
Covering Spain ETF
Nearly 7% on a country ETF is enough. Not being the world’s most accomplished or strongest bear trader I think I’d better not look a gift Ponzi Scheme in the face.
Added A Short Today
No, not against the SPY, which has not bounced as far as hoped. But against silver… errr that is against the 3X bearish silver ETF, DSLV. It’s a hyper long in silver.
GDXJ; Correction Over Or Not?
It has in essence Fib’d 50% of the June rally and tested the support of the SMA 50. Preferred support is down at the 62% Fib and the SMA 200. But last I checked, the market did not care what I preferred.
Gold Sector Hype Punished Again
Otto over at IKN keeps track (in not so flattering terms) of the goofy prediction makers at Kitco.
Gold Silver Ratio Pops…
The Gold Silver ratio is turning up hard today, as silver drops per the wedge in last night’s post and gold just hangs around.
SPX/SPY Short Setup
Where to re-short the SPY on a stock market bounce? Well, I’d like to see the SPX at 1950-1960. That would be a classic setup at resistance.
Yield Curve Today
Today the 10-5-2 year curve very gently rises on the expected market relief.
Economic Brain Dump
Just a little snippet of an ‘economy’ segment that turned into a naval gazing exercise, from a report that otherwise was all-in on hard analysis and frankly, in tune with current market events, which were well anticipated.
Gold-CCI Ratio, Etc.
Gold vs. CCI has broken out of a bullish Falling Wedge (by weekly chart) and is bull flagging with weekly RSI above 50. So far so good.
Euro Junk, Perfect Backtest
How perfectly did this crap rise to test the breakdown and then drop? My stop as noted last week was a rise above 43, so I still hold Spain (Europe’s version of junk bonds) short, along with the chunk of SPY also noted.
S&P 500; Bye Bye Wedge
SPX breaks down from the rising wedge, loses RSI 50 and threatens support.
Uncle Buck Vulnerable To FOMC Rollover?
Well, Unc has been rallying hard lately. At least part of this must be in anticipation of some hawkish talk expected to emanate from Jawbones shortly.
Is The Will To Speculate Dying?
This market is so interesting. I feel like just putting up chart after chart and letting you come to your own conclusions rather than always being so wordy about everything.
