The Retail Sales Report (Excluding Vehicles and Parts) is set to be released tomorrow June 14th. The Estimize consensus predicts a strong 0.4% increase (MoM) from the previous April report. After growing at only 0.1% (MoM) in Dec 17’ and Jan 18’, and 0.2% in Feb 18’, Retail Sales picked up reporting stronger figures in the months of of March and April (0.4% growth and 0.3% growth respectively). The effects of weather events on Retail Sales is not to be understated, generating volatility in expected reports. However, the Estimize community has been quite accurate in recent months predicting growth rates of 0.4% during both Mar. 18’ and Apr. 18’ compared to values of 0.4% growth and 0.3% growth respectively.
