Stocks are starting the second quarter off on the wrong foot, as profit taking grips Wall Street.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 212 points midday, continuing Friday's flourish, while the Nasdaq Composite and S&P 500 Index sit more hesitantly in the black.

There have been plenty of market happenings and themes in 2021 but perhaps one of the more intriguing ones was the recurring bouts of meme stock mania.

Backed by Insight Venture Partners, WalkMe fell as much as 7% in its trading debut earlier this week after a $287M initial public offering. According to filings, Insight will remain WalkMe's biggest shareholder after the IPO with a 28% stake.
