Trading Plan Sees A Chill Market Despite Escalating International Tensions

Of late, I have noticed that the ties between the political fanfare and the stock market are becoming less and less. Until late, anytime Trump tweeted about anything that had the slightest connection to the stock market, the stock and/or industry it was associated with, would have a meltdown. Drop a bomb in Afghanistan, which we've done a million times before, the market sells off. The freak show in North Korea says something at the United States, the market decides to sell it.

But of late, with all of the political rhetoric and posturing between US and North Korea, US and Russia, US and Syria and US and who ever else does like the US escalating, with aircraft carriers moving into position for a possible North Korean conflict, the market is as muted and chill as it can possibly be. The market doesn't care about any of that stuff.

Don't get me wrong, if we go start bombing North Korea, the market will care, but the status quo right now is to ignore all of the news until war does happen.

With that said, let's trade the charts (as we always do).
