Market Analysis & Trading Opportunities - August 18, 2015

Video Length: 00:01:51

1 – The markets in general should focus on the United Kingdom as the United Kingdom CPI numbers will move the markets back and forth. With that being the case, the market should offer plenty of trading opportunities with all things British.

2 – We believe that the US stock markets should get a little bit of a boost sometime this week, as they have sold off rather drastically as of late, and in general we feel that the “risk appetitive” quote could very well come back in the marketplace. However, in the short-term we feel that the markets continue to grind overall and therefore we are looking for opportunities to trade obvious support and resistance barriers. With this, we are looking for short-term moves, not long-term ones as this time of year does very little for the liquidity as large traders are typically away on holiday.

3 – In general, we like larger stock markets at the moment. This includes the DAX, the S&P 500, and of course the Dow Jones Industrial Average. With this, we believe that “slow and steady” will be the general market attitudes as we continue to add risk on in our positions, but recognize that short-term moves are what we are probably stuck with for the next couple of weeks. Don’t get creative, look for the larger more reliable markets to be involved in.
