Economic Events Of The Coming Week - Sunday, March 19

Monday: The Chicago Fed National Activity Index will see light in the U.S. In Russia, February’s Unemployment data will see light, currently at 5.6%.

Tuesday: February Consumer Price Index data will be released in the U.K., where analysts are expecting an increase of annual inflation to 2.1% – moderate, considering the last year’s depreciation of the GBP. February Producer Price Index data will also see light in the U.K.

Wednesday: January’s All Industry Activity Index will see light in Japan. In the U.S., the weekly MBA Mortgage Applications will see light. Feb Existing Home Sales data will also see light in the U.S.

Thursday: Retail sales data will see light in the U.K. In the U.S., the weekly Initial Jobless Claims will see light, where analysts are expecting the labor market indicator to continue hovering around 240K. February’s New Home Sales data will also be released. Advance March Consumer Confidence Index data will see light in the Eurozone. Chair Yellen will speak at the Community Development Conference.

Friday: Preliminary Nikkei Purchasing Managers’ Index data will see light in Japan. Preliminary Markit PMIs will see light throughout the Eurozone. In Canada, February Consumer Price Index data will see light, currently at a 2.1% annual inflation. In the U.S., preliminary Durable Goods Orders data will see light, as well as the preliminary estimate of the Markit Manufacturing PMI. The Key Rate will be announced in Russia, followed by Governor Nabiullina holding a press conference.
