In recent articles I suggested that the AI sector was weakening and that was clearly evident in April when the 54 stocks in the 7 AI category portfolios tracked went down by 4.3%, on average.

Since all 54 constituents in the 7 AI category portfolios we track declined in price last week, it is no surprise that such weakness is reflected in the Small Cap AI Stocks Portfolio as well.

Six of the 7 categories we cover dropped this week, compared with 3 in March. The data clearly indicates that the surge in this sector is stalling or perhaps is even over.

No AI category went down in February, but 3 did in March - confirming my comment last week that "the surge in this sector is stalling."

Of the 10 small cap AI stocks we analyze, the average stock price was $6.70/share and, while 5 of the 10 stocks were up in March, the average stock price for the ten was down 17.4%.
