A Quiet Place (2018) Afdah

The actor and producer John Krasinski, known for his character Jim Halpert in the series "The office", directs his third feature, after a year ago came to our cinemas the remarkable Los Hollar (2016). The project is original and ambitious and Krasinski himself has been involved in the production, and also has the financial support of Michael Bay, and since its premiere in the United States the press and public criticisms have been quite positive, which has been repeated in our country, and we must recognize that the proposal is original from the point of departure and that implies that the viewer is predisposed to live a unique and different experience, and is one of the cases where it is advisable to go to the room cinema to be able to enjoy the sensation of silence as part of the plot, since precisely the characters have to communicate by gestures or notes so as not to cause the immediate appearance of the deaf monsters that threaten their survival. We find one of the most original horror afdah movies, and it will not please those who enjoy those scare and spirit films that bore me so much, but the fear is psychological close to the thriller, since it mixes suspense and the horror.

The film works quite well in its artistic and technical aspects, since most scenes are shot at night, and the photograph of Charlotte Bruus Christensen helps the viewer to identify perfectly what is happening and is one of those responsible for that atmosphere of anguish and tension, along with the soundtrack of Marco Beltrani and the sound.

A film that is working pretty well at the box office both in the United States and in Europe, and that I recommend even those who do not like the afadh film of spirits, but want to see a unique and different experience. Perhaps it bores the great public that has a good time with those conventional horror movies.
