Gary Anderson, you would probably like this article. It does a good job highlighting some of the risks of self driving cars. #uber

The cab lobby is powerful in Israel. But I suspect this had more to do with #Waze - the Israeli GPS app purchased by #Google ($GOOGL). Waze recently started a car sharing aspect to their app and #Uber would have competed greatly with this.

Uber Reports Massive $1.5 Billion 3Q Loss As Two Investors Drop Out Of New Financing Round

#Uber grew vastly my just "doing it" and worrying about the ramifications later. In way, this was very smart. As they grew and got noticed by traditional cab companies, lobbyists, and the government, it was no longer easy for them to shut them down. Politicans have to answer to voters who loved Uber and wanted to see them succeed.

Those scandals are making it harder to love them. And other countries are quick to ban them before they manage to get a foothold. #Israel just banned Uber for example.

I think most of #Uber's problems revolve around the scandals surrounding it and it's founder.

#Uber is a revolutionary company but it is under siege from new competitors, media and regulators. The company suffers from the same money losing tendencies of most unicorns, which does not help matters. However under new leadership the company does stand a good chance of turning things around, if company goes public at a solid valuation would definitely consider buying.

Socially responsible riders should use #Lyft or another ride service over #Uber. Together we can make Uber's path even bumpier than it is already!

Yes, with all the problems the company and founder are facing, I would say #Uber's days are finished Except... users love the company too much to give it up.

A bumpy road indeed. Being sued by your own board of directors is likely problematic. Not mention how #Uber was recently banned from the UK.

Car Sales Were Always Going Over This Cliff

Had no idea #AutoSales were this bad. Then again, I had been thinking of buying a car until I discovered #Uber. Ever since, I've been pushing it off.

Billion Dollar Unicorns: Careem Is The Latest Middle East Unicorn
Abe Jouejati 2/15/2017 4:18:04 PM

This looks like a tough market for #Careem, despite its success, #Uber, #Lyft and others have global presence with proven business models to reduce costs. In fact, as a customer of Uber and Lyft;, Lyft was actually cheaper. Gaining market share involves the uncertainty of consumers switching over.

Association with Donald Trump Cost Uber $200 Million in 45 Days
Bill Johnson 2/14/2017 9:05:04 PM

Very true, but I question the correlation between 200k #Uber accounts being deleted and $200 million being lost. I think it's safe to assume that those who were most likely to delete their Uber apps were those who used it the list. And they might add them right back the next time they need a ride!
