Weekend Reading: Money and Productivity

It’s nice to be back this week.

I took last week off after writing my exhaustive (and exhausting for me) guide to make money blogging.

Today, I’m going to recap the week, show you the money and productivity articles I’ve found around the web over the last couple weeks, and give you an update on my Cyclical Ketogenic Diet progress.

This Week in Money and Productivity

This week, I published two articles. I don’t currently have any guest articles in the queue, because I’ve been very picky with the articles people are submitting.

Here are some awesome articles I’ve read recently:

5 Ways to Break Bad Habits and Replace Them With Good Ones (LifeHack) – The actual title is a little confusing, so I shortened it, but this is a good guide to scientifically breaking bad habits. I’ve written on this as well, but this article has graphs and science and stuff…as unintelligent as that sounds, it really does have those things and it’s a good article.

Why Don’t Professional Investors Beat the Market? (The Simple Dollar) – This is why I’m an advocate for index funds.

How a Spreadsheet Changed My Life (Budgets Are Sexy) – “Different strokes for different folks” really applies to budgeting. Here’s a great story to explain that. Do (or don’t do) the budget that works for you.

It’s Just a House (Dream Beyond Debt) – It’s best not to think of your personal home as an investment.

9 Online Retailers Who Let You Stack Coupons (WiseBread) – For all you crazy-couponers out there!

Keto and Weight Loss (Ruled.Me) – If you’re curious to learn more about the ketogenic diet I’ve been rambling about (my progress update below), I highly suggest reading this article. Craig always explains things in a simple way, and this article is packed with research-driven information.

All Models Are Wrong, Some Are Useful (James Clear) – A great look into how you can mold advice to fit your needs.
