Industrials Really Breaking Down In An Ugly Fashion

I closed out my one long position early on Tesla (TSLA) and added an additional short position before anything ran hard against. Yesterday proved to be a very profitable day, and will look to add more short positions today, if the market has more downside in the cards.

Indicators

VIX - popped 32% yesterday, but didn't break last week's highs. Still a good solid surge.

T2108 (% of stocks trading below their 40-day moving average) - T2108 dropped hard again - down 22% with only 31% of stocks trading above their 40-day moving average. Lowest close since the election back in November of last year.

Moving averages (SPX): 5, 10 and 50-day moving averages were broken. 20-day MA was already broken. Only one left is the 200-day MA, which is still a ways off at 2350.

Industries to Watch Today

Industrials really breaking down in an ugly fashion, Financials sporting an ugly head and shoulders pattern, Energy sector is getting decimated for six days straight and eight out of the last 9 days, and for all of August pretty much.

My Market Sentiment

I don't like this market one bit from a bullish perspective. Yeah, we might dip buy again today as we tend to do that  a lot, but yesterday marked the first time, in a very, very long time that we actually had a dead cat bounce. We sold off last Thursday, bounced for four days, but did so into key short-term resistance, and then sold off hard yesterday establishing a lower-high the day before, and a lower low yesterday that broke last week's lows. See the chart below.
