Tepper's Appaloosa Takes Stake In Western Digital, Adds To Allergan

David Tepper's Appaloosa Management late Friday disclosed in an SEC filing its holdings as of June 30, 2016. The fund's new buys during the second quarter include Western Digital (WDC), US Foods (USFD) and Quorum Health (QHC).

Appaloosa exited thirteen positions during the quarter, including by size of previous position Delta Air Lines (DAL), Facebook (FB), Bank of America (BAC), Pfizer (PFE) and Range Resources (RRC). The fund increased its stake in eight holdings, including by size Allergan (AGN), Mohawk Industries (MHK), Allstate (ALL), Synchrony Financial (SYF) and 21st Century Fox (FOX).

Appaloosa reduced its stake in 22 holdings, including by size HCA Holdings (HCA), Energy Transfer Partners (ETP), Southwest Airlines (LUV), Kinder Morgan (KMI) and PPG Industries (PPG). The fund's top holdings as of June 30, in order of size, were Alphabet (GOOG), Energy Transfer Partners, Williams Partners (WPZ), Allergan and Allstate.
