With just 20 million shares of SAIL trading pursuant to the company's IPO, any significant sales of currently restricted stock could flood the secondary market and cause a sharp, short-term downturn in share price.

Currently, SailPoint Technologies trades in the $22 to $24 range. Shares of SAIL had a first day return of 8.3% and the stock has a return from IPO of 109%.

Note: While the 180-day IPO lockup expiration for SAIL was scheduled for May 16th, 2018, this date is usually delayed when the company reports earnings within close proximity to the IPO lockup expiration. SAIL reported Q1 results on May 9th.

In our seven-year study of IPO lockup expirations, we have found this period of delay to be 17 calendar days from the date of earnings, making the adjusted lockup expiration for SAIL 5/29/18 (when you add in a weekend and the Memorial Day holiday).
