Anglo American Mines Its Own Business Worldwide

Today I'm reviewing another large-cap British Industrial Metals and Minerals concern. Its name is Anglo American Plc. Its trading ticker symbol is AAUKF.

Anglo American PLC is a global mining corporation with assets including precious, base and bulk commodities. Its core business includes exploration of metals and minerals like platinum, diamonds and coal.

The company explores for rough and polished diamonds, copper, platinum group metals, metallurgical and thermal coal, and nickel; and iron and manganese ores, as well as alloys.

Anglo American plc was founded in 1917 and is headquartered in London, the United Kingdom.

I use three key data points to gauge the value of any dividend equity or fund like Anglo American Plc. (AAUKF):

(1) Price

(2) Dividends

(3) Returns

Besides those three, four more keys will finally unlock an equity or fund in which to invest.

But those first three primary keys, best tell whether a company has made, is making, and will make money.

AAUKF Price

Anglo American's price per share was $21.19 at yesterday's market close. A year ago its price was $16.31 for a gain of $4.88 per share.

Assuming AAUKF's price will trade in the range of $15 to $30 next year, its price could make that same $4.88 gain from its current $21.19 to $26.07 by late July, 2019.

AAUKF Dividends

Anglo American's most recent variable semi-annual dividend was $0.54 paid May 11th.

Based on this semi-annual amount, and another yet to come, an annual take of $1.04 yields 4.8% at yesterday's $21.19 share price.

Gains For AAUKF?

Adding the $1.04 potential annual dividend to the $4.88 potential year over year price gain for Anglo American makes a $5.92 projected gross annual per share gain, which will be reduced by costs to trade the shares.

A little under $1,000.00 invested today at the $21.19 recent price buys 47 shares.

A $10 broker fee paid half at purchase and half at sale costs about $0.21 per share, subtracting that $0.21 brokerage cost from the estimated $5.92 gross gain leaves a net gain of $5.71 X 47 shares = $268.37 or a nearly 27% net gain on a $995.93 investment.

Therefore, Anglo American Plc.(whose trading ticker symbol is AAUKF), now shows a possible near 27% net gain including a 4.8% dividend yield.

No analysts cover this stock:

So, there is no analyst consensus recommendation nor any price target set by the brokers.

Even Y Charts has no data. Y Charts has not yet rated AAUKF for an overall "Y" rating; it has "insufficient data" for a Value score and "insufficient data" for a Fundamental mark as well as "insufficient data" for aHistoric Valuation score.

You could look at all those numbers this way, Anglo American Plc (AAUKF) has made money, is making money, and could net a nearly 27% net gain including a 4.8% annual dividend yield. It could be more, it could be less.

The above speculation is based on past year performance. Actual results remain to be seen. Results could turn out to be far higher or lower. More study is required for you to determine ifAnglo American Plc (AAUKF) is worth your time and money.
