Amazon today revealed plans to grow its United Kingdom workforce by over 2,500 jobs this year.
"That means by the end of the year we'll have 27,500 people working at Amazon around the country - from our UK head office which opened last year, through to our UK development centres, AWS, fulfilment centres and other operational sites," the company said in a blog post. It added, "All our permanent employees receive competitive pay and stock grants that vest over the course of their careers in the business.
At all levels, employees are also offered a comprehensive benefits package, including private medical insurance from day one, life assurance, income protection, an employee discount and a company pension plan."
