Abertis Infraestructuras For Roads, Towers, & More
The industrials sector includes twenty-three industries all related to designing, fabricating and servicing stuff we want and use. The industrials industries range from aerospace and defense to waste management with all the transportation, business services, and equipment required in between.
Today I'm reviewing an engineering and construction company named Abertis Infraestructuras, S.A. It's trading ticker symbol is ABRTY.
Abertis Infraestructuras manages toll roads and telecommunications infrastructures in Spain and internationally.
Its roadways, telecom towers, and satellites carry toll traffic in Europe and South America.
The company was formerly known as Acesa Infraestructuras, S.A. and changed its name to Abertis Infraestructuras, S.A. in May 2003. Abertis Infraestructuras, S.A. was incorporated in 1967 and is based in Barcelona, Spain.
I use three primary keys to gauge dividend equities or funds like Abertis Infraestructuras, S.A.:
(1) Price
(2) Dividends
(3) Returns
After those three, I'll use four more keys to unlock an equity or fund in which to invest.
Those three primary keys, however, tell whether a company has made, is making, and will make money.
ABRTY Price
Abertis Infraestructuras's price at Monday's market close was $11.91 per share. A year ago its price was $7.30. So it gained $4.61 per share in the past year. If ABRTY does as well this year its share price will increase from $11.91 to $16.52, or about 8.4%.
ABRTY Dividends
Abertis Infraestructuras's most recent semi-annual dividend was $0.2327 declared November 3rd and paid November 17th.
The annual dividend for 2018 is estimated to be $0.47 payable in April, and November at $0.235 per half.
The yield from that $0.47 annual dividend was almost 4% at Monday's $11.91 price.
Gains For ABRTY?
Adding the $0.47 dividend to the $4.61 estimated year over year price gain shows a potential $5.08 gross gain for the coming year.
Now I'll subtract the cost to trade Abertis Infraestructuras shares.
A $1,000.00 invested at yesterday's $11.91 price bought 84 shares.
Those 84 shares get hit with broker fees of $5 at purchase and another $5 at sale for a per share cost of about $0.12 per share
Subtracting that $0.12 brokerage cost from the estimated $5.08 gross leaves a net gain to 2019 of $4.96
X 84 shares
= $416.64
or a 41.65% net gain on a $1,000.44 investment.
Therefore, Abertis Infraestructuras, S.A. (whose ticker symbol is ABRTY), shows a possible 41.65% gain by my simple year over year calculation with a 3.9% dividend included.
No analysts cover this stock but the long-term historic price charts show fairly steady upward progress.
These forward-looking numbers are conjecture based on past year performance. The actual results remain to be seen. They could turn out to prove to be far lower. More study is required for you to determine if Abertis Infraestructuras, S.A. is worth your time and money.
