Exeria: Interview With Krystian Juchacz, The Project Manager

We had the opportunity to interview Krystian Juchacz, the Project Manager of Exeria. He launched the Exeria Project in 2015, with a mission to help people with busy lives invest effectively and efficiently. Exeria is a service in which an investor can choose an automated trading system that buys and sells selected financial instruments at the right moment.

Q. Can you tell us a bit about yourself and Exeria?
A
. Exeria is a unique investor’s front-end software with algorithmic trading and an online portal. The online portal has ready-made strategies and portfolios. Exeria is a service in which an investor can choose an automated trading system that buys and sells selected financial instruments at the right moment. Investors can use professional algorithms to create and test their strategies in a very straightforward and friendly way (no programming necessary), benefiting both very active day traders and long-term investors. The Exeria project was launched at the beginning of 2015.

Q. How did you get the idea for Exeria?
A.
We’ve realized that many people would like to invest in financial markets, but they don’t have enough time and knowledge to do so effectively. We believe algorithmic trading can solve this time limitation problem, allowing people to invest effectively without consuming too much of their time. In addition, our social network will help investors grow their knowledge in this field. We notice many companies are moving in a similar direction and we’ve wanted to do something different, creating the real game changer. We would like to open doors which have been closed for many potential investors and traders.

Q. How do you come up with the algorithms to help your customers?
A.
Algorithms have one big advantage compared to people - they don’t feel emotions. Emotions are cool in our daily life, but they can destroy an investor’s record. Most people can’t handle their emotions, and consequently make many mistakes in transactions. With our software, investing rules will be executed automatically in conditions that you set up before running the strategy, thereby removing the possibility of changing your decision due to emotional pressure.

Q. How does your company generate revenue?
A.
Most of our revenues are generated through business-to-business collaboration. The newest version of our software will possibly get access to Exeria by individual investors even if we don’t cooperate with a company where he has his investment account. This is made possible by our subscription model. We have a few other ideas that have a chance of arising in the future.

Q. What kind of traction have you had since you first launched?
A.
In the beginning, we created a desktop program called ’’Arena,” which was used for technical analysis. After “Arena”, we added blocks to this program, allowing people, who have no programming skills, to create their own respective strategies and test their ideas on historical data. Shortly after that, the whole idea of Exeria project came up. We created a second desktop application called ‘’Exeria” and a social website called “exeria.com’’. Exeria strategically executes signals on your investment account, and exeria.com gives you the opportunity to not only share your ideas with others but also get ideas from others investors. Due to these three parts, Exeria won a Benzinga Fintech Awards in the ‘’Finding alpha” category in New York, 2016. Now with our advanced technology, we’ve created the newest version of Exeria, which allows the user to get all three parts in one with everything running in HTML5.

Q. At what point did you realize you had a viable business model?
A.
It’s hard to answer this question because we still operate as a startup in the unpopular sector. We constantly see that this sector is growing; people are very interested and enthusiastic in what we’re doing. Automation is already a growing trend in several sectors: GPS, autonomous cars, robots in medicine, etc.; financial markets are the new perfect place for automation to further show its powerful capabilities. Big financial companies have been using algorithmic trading since 1980, and now it’s time to give benefits that come from automated trading to a broad audience.

Q. Did you hit any roadblocks that almost caused you to throw in the towel?
A.
You know, when you work with something very innovative you run into unknown patches. Very often we’ve had problems which had required a great deal of effort to solve. I have to say that no matter how many problems we’ve had, we’ve never even considered giving up. We’re always hungry to look for solutions, and do not plan on stopping until we find them.

Q. What is the main benefit that your company provides to the financial world?
A.
Exeria is a perfect tool for robo-advisory services. Robo-advisory makes investing easier, cheaper, and friendlier. We’ll provide new investors, who haven’t been able to invest effectively before, an effective way to do so. It’s safe to say that with Exeria, we’ll democratize the investing world.

Q. If you could go back in time and give yourself one piece of business/financial advice, what would it be?
A.
Be very patient. Great things always need some time to be successful. If you truly believe what you’re doing is worthwhile, just keep doing it. The successful outcome will come.

Q. Is there anything else you want to share with our audience?
A
. Exeria team is creating a vision for a new way of investing, a design that will fit the needs and challenges of financial markets in the XXI century. Feel free to visit www.exeria.com, and get familiar with our platform. Check how you can improve your investing or trading!

Yes, I looked at Exeria.com. Pretty interesting idea. Though I wish they would invest a little bit of time to improve the grammar/typos on their site.
