Seiko Epson For Printers, Projectors, & Wearables

This week I've been seeking a dividend-paying stock from the technology business sector.

That technology sector has nineteen industries ranging from communication equipment, computers, consumer electronics, and contract manufacturing, to health and information technology and services to internet, scientific instruments, software, solar and all such techno-marvels.

Today I'll review a Mid-cap computer systems company, named Seiko Epsom Corporation. Its trading ticker symbol is SEKEF

Seiko Epson Corp develops, manufactures and sells information-related equipment, electronic devices, and precision products.

The company develops, manufactures, sells, and provides services for products in the printing solutions, visual communications, wearable and industrial products, and other businesses in Japan, the United States, China, and internationally.

Its Printing Solutions segment provides inkjet printers, page printers, color image scanners, industrial inkjet printing systems, and related consumables, including office papermaking systems, personal computers, and others.

The company's Visual Communications segment develops, manufactures, and sells 3LCD projectors for business, education, and the home markets, and smart eyewear.

Its Wearable & Industrial Products segment offers watches and watch movements; sensing systems and equipment; built-in sensors used in the personal health and sports fields, etc.; industrial robots and other production systems; and electronic devices.

Seiko Epson Corporation was founded in 1942 and is headquartered in Suwa, Japan.

I use three key data points to gauge the value of any dividend equity or fund like Seiko Epsom Corporation  (SEKEF ):

(1) Price

(2) Dividends

(3) Returns

Besides those three, four more keys will finally unlock an equity or fund in which to invest.

But those first three primary keys, best tell whether a company has made, is making, and will make money.

SEKEF Price

Seiko Epson's price per share was $16.90 at yesterday's market close. A year ago its price was $24.11 for a price drop of $7.21 per share for the year, that's a 30% drop.

Assuming Seiko Epson's price will trade in the range of $14 to $26 next year, Seiko Epson's recent $16.90 price could improve by $4.00 and grow to $20.90 by early-November, 2019.

SEKEF Dividends

Seiko Epson's most recent annual dividend was $0.3032 declared April 28th and paid June 28th.

Seiko Epson annual dividend of $0.3032 yields 1.8% at yesterday's closing $16.90 price.

Gains For SEKEF?

Adding the $0.3032 estimated annual dividend to my estimated $4.00 annual price upside for Seiko Epsom Corporation (SEKEF) makes a $4.30 potential gross annual per share gain, which will be reduced by costs to trade the shares.

A little under $1,000.00 invested today at the $16.90 recent price buys 59 Monotype Imaging Holdings Inc (TYPE ) shares.

A $10 broker fee paid half at purchase and half at sale costs $0.17 per share, subtracting that $0.17 brokerage cost from the estimated $4.30 gross annual gain leaves a net gain of $4.13 X 59 shares = $243.67 for a 24.4% net gain on a $997.10 investment.

Therefore, Seiko Epsom Corporation whose trading ticker symbol is SEKEF, now shows a possible 24.4% net gain including a 1.8% dividend yield.

No brokers cover this stock:

No broker rating or consensus number is available., nor is a broker price target available for comparison to mine.

Therefore, you may look at these speculative numbers this way, Seiko Epsom Corporation whose trading ticker symbol is SEKEF, has made money, is making money, and could net a 10% to 30% net annual gain including an 18% dividend yield.

It could be more, it could be less.

The above speculation is based on past year performance. The actual results remain to be seen to determine if Seiko Epsom Corporation (SEKEF) is worth your time and money.
