Economic Events Of The Coming Week - Sunday, Feb. 26

Monday: Preliminary February Consumer Price Index data will see light in Spain. For the Eurozone, January M3 Money Supply data will see light, as well as the final estimate of February’s Consumer Confidence Index. In the U.S., preliminary January Durable Goods Orders data will see light.

Tuesday: Preliminary Jan Industrial Production Index data will see light in Japan. In France, Preliminary France Consumer Price Index data will see light, as will the preliminary estimate of the fourth quarter’s Gross Domestic Product data. CPI data will also be released in Italy, where analysts are expecting an increase of annual inflation to 1.3%. In the U.S., the second estimate for Gross Domestic Product in the fourth quarter will see light, where analysts are expecting an improvement from a 1.9% estimate to 2.1%. Preliminary Wholesale Inventories data for January will also see light, as will February’s Chicago Purchasing Managers’ Index and the Conference Board’s Consumer Conference Index.

Wednesday: Feb Manufacturing PMIs are due globally, with expectations for marginally over-‘50’ figures in china. In the U.K., January Mortgage Approvals data will see light. The weekly MBA Mortgage Applications will see light in the U.S., followed by Germany’s preliminary CPI data. January Personal Income and Personal Spending data will see light in the U.S. The Bank of Canada is scheduled to make a rate announcement. January Construction Spending data will see light in the U.S.

Thursday:  February Unemployment data will see light in Spain. The weekly Initial Jobless Claims will see light in the U.S.

Friday: January Jobless Rate data will be released in Japan, as well as CPI figures for the month. The final estimate for the fourth quarter’s GDP will be released in Italy. Fed Chair Yellen will give an Economic Outlook Speech in Chicago.
